Job Description:  Using in-depth knowledge of pharmacy processes and billing policies and regulations to proactively and contemporaneously ensure that Pharmacy Services achieves its clinical, operational, and financial goals through the maintenance of technical applications.  Promotes system compatibility.  Oversees and is accountable for the standardization, accuracy, and effectiveness of pharmacy related databases (e.g., Echart, Cerner, Pyxis, EpicRx).  Collaborates with customers to design, standardize, and monitor billing structure to ensure accurate revenue capture.

Job Description: 
Sr Pharmacy Service Analyst

Job Qualifications: 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Education: 
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, science, math, business, or equivalent experience.
 
Experience: 
Four to seven years of healthcare experience developing, utilizing, maintaining, assessing, and overseeing complex clinical application processes and systems applied in the medication dispensing, administration, or charging process. 
Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy processes; specifically how they interrelate with system capabilities, clinical services needs, regulatory requirements, Pharmacy Services operating unit goals, and Legacy Health Systems strategic plans. 
Pharmacy Technician or pharmacy systems experience desired. 
Proven knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutics preferred.
 
Skills:
Demonstrated ability to perform system file/table maintenance.
Proven data retrieval and report writing skills.
Demonstrated problem solving, research, documentation, and analytical skills.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Proven aptitude to prioritize responsibilities/workload and redefine job functions and work flow.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and produce an accurate work product.
Proven capacity to work with limited supervision.
Demonstrated ability to apply chain-of-command communication protocols.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills that encourage effective working relationships.
Ability to utilize Excel and Access for data retrieval, analysis and management.
Solid customer-support aptitude utilizing effective verbal and written communication skills.
