Director Care Management - 3 Hospitals

We are just beginning a search for a seasoned Director of Care Management for 3 hospitals within private non-profit health system which recently earned the highest ranking among West Coast health systems for its efficiency and integrated health care network and also placed fourth in national rankings; has been in the top 100 for 8 years straight.
The Director Care Management has responsibility for all aspects of the development, and business planning, budget planning, expense control and performance management of all care management and utilization review staff, and coordination and overall day-to-day operations of Care Management, and Utilization Management.
· Reports to the Senior VP Operations
· 42 FTE’s
· Budget – 4 Million
· Care Management and Utilization Review Responsibility
Requirements:
· BSN and Master’s Required (experience and commitment to complete Master’s may be accepted)
· 5 years acute care experience at management level
· 5 years case management/utilization management at management level
· Multidisciplinary team experience
· Experience with collaborative case management model
· Recognizes rising intensity/demand for Utilization Management Services
· Knowledge of RAC requirements
· Demonstrated ability to lead strong team
· Ability to establish successful collaborative partnership with Medical Director
· Promote user-friendly services to patients, payers, physicians etc.
· Must have extensive knowledge of health care financing / reimbursement issues, case management and utilization management practices and data collection and analysis
